Dr. Motese Macarthy has dedicated his professional life to advancing justice, education, and good governance. Beginning his career as a legal practitioner before serving for many years as a Magistrate, he developed a deep appreciation for the impact that fair systems can have on individuals and communities. As a Data Protection Officer, he brings extensive experience in compliance, accountability, and organisational leadership.

He holds a PhD in Law from the University of Bolton, Greater Manchester and is passionate about creating opportunities for young people to develop confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of purpose. As Vice Chair of Trustees, he helps guide the strategic direction of Elevate Zone, ensuring that strong governance, compliance, and programme quality remain at the heart of the organisation's work.

Irena Pistun has worked in the profit-for-purpose sector since 2003, starting as head of communications for an international landmine charity and now operating in the business sector for cooperatives. She founded a high street cafe/deli while completing her Masters in Theology and simultaneously working for a street child charity. She spends her free time gravel cycling and volunteering two days a week as a chaplain for the NHS.

Dr Charles Blundell is a trustee with extensive experience in organisational leadership, governance, strategic development, and scientific research. He recently retired following a successful 25-year career in biochemical research, during which his inventions and discoveries contributed to the founding of a pharmaceutical company.

Charlie brings strategic insight, governance expertise, and a strong commitment to creating opportunities that help young people build resilience, confidence, and positive futures. He lives in Greater Manchester with his wife and two children.

I spent the majority of my working life as a primary school teacher. Fourteen years ago, I qualified as a Counsellor and continue to work in this area part-time.
